Daniel Negreanu Blasts Prahlad Friedman For Signing With UB.com--Even Before Friedman's Signing is Official! What Gall!!

My Public Enemy Number-One Daniel Negreanu continues pissing me off! Sitting on his high horse looking down on both the brick and mortar and online poker worlds, Negreanu has decided to publicly criticize pro poker player Prahlad Friedman for singing with UB.com, the online poker site and company that was home to the biggest online poker cheat scandal of all-time. In several tweets on his Tweet account "RealKidPoker," Negreanu said:

"So disappointed in Prahlad Friedman signing with the devil who stole millions from him. He was so ‘anti-sellout’ and then he did the unthinkable."

"They must have paid him a lot to join the dark side and endorse the exact same people who ruined him. So sad and so mind-boggling."

"The current owners of AP/UB are spending Prahlad’s money. They must be mocking him at this point. Cheat the dude and watch him endorse us!"

Here, some pro poker players offered opinions that differed with Negreanu's, basically trying to offset Negreanu’s charges, but Negreanu's hatred for UB.com is as intense as his hatred for Annie Duke, and he would not be tempered. So he went on:

"Sure, totally cheat and destroy a guy and then offer him a deal. That company is no less shady today and they cannot prove otherwise?"

"It’s true and you are all being lied to if you think the infrastructure of the company has been miraculously cleaned up."

"I don't begrudge people from signing a deal to support themselves ala Maria Ho. Prahlad spoke out AGAINST online poker then signed for money."

The most forceful critic of Negreanu was poker pro Matt Keikoan. He had this to say on Negreanu's ravings:

"I can see people like RealKidPoker, sitting behind his $4 mil a year PokerStars contract, w/ his nose up in the air, judging other people. And what, PokerStars is some great moral company, out for the good of all mankind? Gimme a break."

My take: Negreanu is an asshole, and in my mind is one of the biggest poker cheats out there. That's because he is the star of "High Stakes Poker", which is the biggest fraud out there in the poker world today!

Ex-PokerStars Employee Says That Giant Online Site Gave Up Battle Against Poker Cheats Online!

all the online poker sites are fighting an almost hopeless war against the cheats these days, and many of them, including PokerStars, the biggest of 'em all, are attributing it to the huge growth the entire industry is experiencing.

A former member of PokerStars' staff has said that the giant site even gave up on trying to stop the cheats. Speaking anonymously to the BBC "5 Live Investigates" program, he said, "We had a hard job keeping up, just because of the volume of complaints from players about suspected cheating incidents. Not that all of the complaints were legitimate...ninety-five percent were from bitter customers because they lost, and there was no collusion. But Pokerstars still pledged to investigate them all."

My take: At least the guy is honest!

However, the former employee went on to state that during his time working for the site, the staff turned off the automatic alerts that red-flagged possible cases of collusion and other forms of online poker cheating because they were simply overwhelmed by the huge number of alerts hitting the system.

Latest Online Poker Cheat, Natalie 'TheV0id' Teltscher, Confesses!

'TheV0id' Admits WCOOP Cheating

According to a press release by PokerStars, Natalie 'TheV0id' Teltscher confessed the cheating at the Main Event of the PokerStars World Championship of Online Poker (WCOOP) and withdrew her claim against her disqualification.

In 2007, 'TheV0id' won the WCOOP Main Event. In the aftermath, PokerStars noticed irregularities in her account and decided after an internal inspection to disqualify the account and 'TheV0id'. The prize money of about $1.2M was stripped from her and handed over to the hitherto runner-up 'ka$ino'. All the other players were upgraded by one rank as well.

The Briton Natalie Teltscher went to court against this decision. There she had to admit though that she didn't play herself under the account 'TheV0id'. A not further named "agent" had used the account and supposedly used several other accounts during the tournament. At first it was assumed that Mark Teltscher is this agent, or at least involved in the case as he is the brother of the plaintiff and a poker pro himself. A confirmation of this assumption failed to materialise though.

Below the press report:

"PokerStars™ are pleased to announce that Natalie Teltscher has recently withdrawn her claim in the Isle of Man Courts against PokerStars.

Furthermore, in discontinuing her claim, she has agreed to contribute a sum towards the legal costs incurred by PokerStars in this matter.

Ms Teltscher brought her claim against PokerStars because she was disqualified from first place of the 2007 WCOOP Main Event after PokerStars internal investigations demonstrated beyond doubt that she had not played on the account. On her disqualification all other players were moved one place higher in the prize table and the money confiscated from her account, TheV0id, was redistributed in full, according to the amended tournament placings.

Ms Teltscher initially claimed that she had played the account. However, when faced with the results from PokerStars' investigation she eventually admitted she hadn't played.

The decision of Ms Teltscher to withdraw her claim fully vindicates
PokerStars' decision to disqualify her from the tournament and subsequently defend the claim, actions which were taken in order to protect the integrity of the games on offer at PokerStars."

Tokwiro COO Paul Leggett Speaks About Online Poker Cheating Scandals

Paul Leggett, Chief Operating Officer of Tokwiro, the parent company of Ultimate Bet and Absolute Poker, has spoken in detail about the scandal that has enveloped one of his online poker rooms. Tokwiro just released its findings to the Kahnawake Gaming Commission, which is the primary regulating body for Ultimate Bet. Leggett commented to the public, "There has never been any cover up in our investigation. We've made two statements listing the accounts that were involved and we made another statement last week regarding the completion of our investigation."

A bevy of names have been associated as being behind the scandal, but Leggett said he is unable to point fingers currently: "I get asked all the time why we can't name who cheated. There's nothing I would like better than to name the perpetrator's name, but our situation isn't that simple." Tokwiro is considering pursuing legal action as well and naming names now is against the advice of Leggett's counsel.

My question is: Is this an appeasing way to hide a coverup? And, legal action??? Is he kidding us??
